Stone Town
Went to stone town yesterday, it was nice to see the city but horrible to see the slave market. The cruelty and evil human kind can create is just horrible. They whipped grown men til they died just to see how strong they were. They killed everybody who cried because it was a sign of weakness, and they raped pretty girls, then cut their head off and threw them in the ocean because of the risk that she might get pregnant and it was wrong to "mix" colors. They kept slaves in dungeons, most of them died from hunger, thirst or because the time water filled them up.
This is an indian door and the spikes are to keep elephants out and to stop them from breaking the door down.
Stone town did of couse have nice parts too, big market with food and spices. And a fish and meat market that smelled horrible! The only thing I could think of was, thank God I'm not eating meat here!
I have hard to imagine the cruelty that once happened here. But the worst part is to know that cruelty and evil still excist on this planet.
